Restaurant Highlight: Anasazi Steakhouse

Last weekend, we celebrated my best friend’s birthday and debated where to go for dinner. We wanted to find a place that served delicious food and could accommodate for the tastes of our large group. Also, as a crew of foodies, we wanted an experience. Anasazi Steakhouse was just the place, let me tell you why.

Anasazi is not your typical steakhouse. You get to cook the meat yourself! Here is the process:

  1. You select what type and cut of meat you want (beef, chicken, tuna, scallop/shrimp, ostrich, lamb, buffalo, and vegetarian options available) and your side dish (vegetables rice, or mashed potatoes; order includes a side salad as well)
  2. Your waiter brings you your entree on a hot stone that has been sitting in a kiln for 24 hours
  3. You cook your meat on the stone to whatever degree of doneness you prefer, whole or in pieces, it’s up to you!

Simple as that.

The best part of this experience is how individual it is. You control the whole process from the doneness of your meat to how much dipping sauce you pair with it. Each and every bite is an experience. See menu here.

Wait! That’s not all. Anasazi also has a fondue menu. Once again, Anasazi is all about the individual experience. Their fondue pots can be adjusted according to how many people will be eating. We ordered two pots of two different cheeses, each pot made for 3 people and it was plenty for our table of 10. Each pot comes with crisp vegetables, apple slices, and fresh bread. I recommend the Southwest fondue, it was to die for. Finish up dinner with a cheesecake or another round of fondue, chocolate this time. You will not leave hungry.

What a crowd pleaser! Everyone at our table ordered something different, so we sampled it all, oooooing and ahhhhing the enter way through dinner. So, check it out! This is one of the finest dining experiences St. George has to offer, I highly recommend it.
