2015 Christmas in the Canyon

The holiday season in St. George is defined by natural beauty, festive lights, and honored traditions. Few events in the area exemplify these things as well as Tuacahn Amphitheater’s Christmas in the Canyon celebration. This family friendly gathering will bring out the holiday spirit in anyone who attends.

Christmas in the Canyon features gorgeous light displays, which create a spectacular illumination throughout the amphitheater. Going on a stroll through Tuacahn and taking in all of the sights and sounds is one of the most popular things to do at the festival. Those who attend Christmas in the Canyon can also take part in the artisan gift shopping gallery, watch live music performances, and have a ride on the Old Salty Train. No Christmas festival would be complete without a visit from St. Nick, and kids will surely love seeing Santa Claus each night from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm.

Christmas in the Canyon Tuacahn

One of the highlights of Christmas in the Canyon is the Live Nativity. This performance is dedicated to showing what Christmas is all about and includes beautiful music to accompany a narration of the story of Christ’s birth. Live animals are also included in the retelling, which adds to its charm and authenticity. Two 20 minute performances are held on each day of the event, starting at 7:00 pm and 8:00 pm.

Tuacahn  – which is well known for its theatrical productions and live shows  – puts on Christmas in the Canyon each year as a tribute to the community which supports its endeavors. Entrance into the event to experience the festival of lights, holiday music, concessions, family activities, and gift gallery is free for everyone. Entrance to the Live Nativity performance is $2 per person or $15 per family of up to 10 people. Trips on the Old Salty Train are $2 per ride. Group rates are available and can be obtained by contacting Tuacahn Amphitheater at (800) 746-9882 or (435) 652-3300 .
